Harold Griffiths was a student at Motley High School, who went into the US Navy as an officer, running a 600 foot ship, 8 hours a day, any ocean, any tonnage. He started Wrico Stamping as a 2,000 square foot building and 2 employees. Since that time, Wrico has grown to six buildings in six states with a total capacity of 340,000 square feet and employing over 600 people. Wrico Stamping of Minnesota operates out of a 96,000 square foot building in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Harold passed away on February 13, 2022 at the age of 96.

He was a very generous donor, giving back to his hometown community with three scholarship awards. These awards have made a huge impact on the lives of many young people. The three scholarships are available to students going into a specific technical area such as engineering (mechanical or industrial), math and machining, or healthcare.

Scholarship #1 - $2,000 per year to be awarded to a student attending a technical college. This is renewable for an additional year, totaling $4,000.
Scholarship #2 - $3,000 per year to be awarded to a student attending a 4-year college in the health occupations field. This is renewable for three additional years, totaling $12,000.
Scholarship #3 - $5,000 per year to be awarded to a student attending a 4-year college. This is renewable for three additional years, totaling $20,000.
